Millions of American Bison (which we usually refer to the buffalo) were in expectation of European settlers, who traveled across America's Great Plains in the early 1800s. But among these settlers were trappers and traders, which thrived from the uncontrolled sale of meat and hides. And they were not the only ones killing of American bison. Train company made a business out of providing tourists the chance to buffalo from the windows of their cars to shoot. These shootersslaughtered countless bison, pausing only to load after the expiry of the ammunition. The bodies were those animals only at the level of the left. They even had buffalo shooting competitions. It is said that one person set a record by killing 120 bison in 40 minutes. (Do you expect - that is 3 per minute!) "Buffalo Bill Cody is reported that more than 4,000 buffalo have killed in just two years. What a great contrast preserved with this, like the Native Americans had, for centuries, this largeResources by hunting for food and the use of the whole animal.
However, there is good news. Through the efforts of those responsible for many Americans is to return the American Buffalo. When I was a boy visiting my grandparents in South Dakota, I enjoyed driving through the plains and see hundreds of these majestic animals. I also remember my parents eating a buffalo dinner in the restaurant at Mount Rushmore. (I had chicken or something - the idea of eating Buffalo seemed too strangeto me!)
What could be more than a U.S. American Buffalo? Perhaps an American Buffalo Burger! Ground buffalo meat is more and more appear in grocery stores. Mix in butter with meat like a little strange, but it adds a little fat, helping to bring the taste of outside, and it keeps the burgers to dry, such as buffalo meat is very lean. (By the way, his thinness buffalo meat makes a good choice for a healthy meal!)
