Pungent, spicy or sweet and smooth? The salsa's Truly Yours!

I love to cook! It is to do one of my favorite things (besides dancing, of course!). I am an improvisational cook. I've never been a recipe in mind when I prepare a bowl of spices, just a certain flavor lingers that in my tongue, or an idea about a combination. My dishes never come out tasting the same twice what my friend complains about incessantly, being a big fan of chain restaurants, the food tastes exactly the same every time (and if you ask me what exactly the sameregardless of what you get, and from the restaurant).

One of my favorite ways to cook something, is to make a salsa to go with him. Salsa is the perfect meal for me, because anything goes. There are no rules. I can mix and match the ingredients to your heart's content, and then add a pinch of something else, just for good measure!

Salsa happens to be my favorite dance, and guess where his name? When you speak Spanish or like Spanish food, you probably already know thatSalsa means "sauce" in Spanish. Thus the name of the dance means exactly that, a mixture of what you want, with some spice on top! You can Salsa sweet and flirtatious, hot and spicy, jazzy, smooth ... as you like!

Many of my students have preconceived notions of dance. They expect to dance salsa, to a certain way, they think it is very sensual, and they get intimidated thinking that they thus never be able to dance. This is where I likepull my edible Salsa parallel.

Some of us like adventurous with our food, mixing ingredients and see where it leads. Others, like the stuff that comes out of a jar Tostidos brand. Each variation is a legitimate variant of salsa, and not many people were out to find the only right way to make salsa. So when it comes to the dance, I encourage you to keep the same attitude! Remember that you do not know how you move your body to make it look a certain way they move the wayYou can. This is what is going on, look at your heart-felt dance, rather than choreographed. Certainly, work on technique, isolations, Latin motion ... All this will only make your salsa better. But if you dance, forget everything you have learned, and you trust your body to a salsa dance that is true to its name!
