Italian Meatloaf - My Favourite Recipe

Zesty flavors:

I have worked with this for many years and try to get a satisfying spicy flavor. I think I'm finally here. My family recipe has always seemed quite banal (perhaps because I grow up). But I began with some of the original ingredients, and also changed other Italian sausage instead of pork.

Gravy:

Remember that when you are done, the meat loaf cooking you will have a rich sauce thatthe meatloaf has cooked. I suggest that you drain them in a bowl, allow to separate the oil, and pour the oil out of saving the juices. Mix the juice with flour to make that a wonderful sauce goes well over the mash potatoes.

Ingredients (Serves 6)

02:01 pounds - mushrooms, sliced
2 - celery, chopped
1 - medium onion, chopped
2 pounds - lean ground beef
£ 1 - mild Italian sausage, casing removed
04:01 pounds - ham, chopped
1 - egg,beaten
1 cup - bread crumbs
8 oz - Provolone cheese into small cubes (cut about 4.1 cm cubes)
8 oz - Parmesan cheese, shredded
3-4 cloves - garlic, minced
04:03 cup - red wine (such as Chianti or Cabernet Sauvignon)
1 tbsp - fresh oregano, finely chopped
2 tablespoons - extra virgin olive oil
2.1 tbsp - fresh basil, finely chopped
Salt and pepper to taste (at least one teaspoon per piece)
2.1 tsp - red pepper flakes
14.5 oz can - dicedTomatoes

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Saute the mushrooms, celery and onion in olive oil until most of the moisture from the mushrooms (away with salt and pepper to taste). Allow to cool to nearly room temperature.

In a large bowl, mix ground beef, sausage (casing removed), ham, egg, bread crumbs, Provolone, Parmesan, garlic, red wine, oregano, basil, salt, pepper and pepper flakes together with the cooked mushrooms, celery,and onions. It is crucial to ensure that everything thoroughly. Place in a large bowl backing.

My dish is 10 cm in diameter and 4.5 cm deep. Bake uncovered for 1 hour, remove, and place the diced tomato over the top.

Cook discovered an additional 45 minutes (check to make sure that does not burn the tomatoes).
