Recipe For Breakfast Quinoa - Quinoa for Breakfast

Quinoa is a food that comes from South America, but is gaining popularity everywhere through its simple preparation and mild taste. It can be made into salad topping savory dishes, desserts, or even used one.

Besides the very simple to use, quinoa is also very nutritious. It has a high fiber and protein contact, making it a major energy-producing morning meal. Each cup of cooked quinoa has 8 grams of protein.

Breakfast recipe for quinoa:

- 1Cup uncooked quinoa
- 2 cups water
- 1 / 2 cup chopped dates
- 1 / 2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
- Desired 2 tablespoons honey or agave nectar or other sweetener, such as

Rinse quinoa sieve. Set aside. This is always the first step in preparing quinoa, quinoa as a natural coating that has washed away the better. It is not dangerous, but it is rinsed away make for a better, more mellow tasting dish.

Chop dates, set aside. Toast pecans in oven for about 8 minutes in 350 oven.This causes a greater taste for more to be released in full.

This recipe is extremely versatile. Almost all of the ingredients can be substituted for what ever you want. You do not like dates? With raisins or dried apricots. Not like honey? Try Agave nectar.

Or try turbinado sugar granules,Stevia, Vanilla or just sugar. Pecans not your favorite? Try chopped almonds, walnuts, pine nuts or macadamia nuts. This is a great hot cereal that can easily be adapted to suit all tastes.
