Salt and pepper, chocolate and peanut butter, chips and salsa: While culinary history there have been many great pairings result. But there is one often overlooked couple that I just could not do without.
With their free color, silky texture and subtle bite, olive oil and balsamic vinegar are the secret weapon of many an accomplished cook. Whether diving hot, crusty Italian bread, or toss it with your favorite greens, puts this dynamic duo is a high-health, low-debtStamp with very little effort.
I have olive oil in my cupboard, but what is this stuff you're talking about balsamic, "you're asking hungry?
Well, let me take a moment to spread the good word about my new girlfriend to vinegar. Hide behind a rich, burgundy exterior lies a subtle, sweet yet sour syrup seriously jam-packed with flavors health benefits and complex. (In fact, I've just found out that the Italian word balsamic means "Heil!")
Unlike other vinegars, traditionalBalsamico is a reduction of two different types of grapes and then for at least 12 years old. I am firmly convinced that good things come in old packages - if I may say so - and to treat the herb is certainly no exception! Its complex aromas can easily own and in my experience they are often best served up on tomatoes, bruschetta drizzled or other equally simple dishes.
Expanding my culinary horizons, I threw the curtains to a spectacular new wayIncluding a classic recipe for balsamic. Balsamic potato salad dishes to take a perfectly un-classic picnic on a down-home favorites, and the results are absolutely fantastic. With a combination of red potatoes, sour cream and balsamic vinegar, turns old-fashioned potato salad to feel at its end while maintaining traditional ones. Since I am a big fan of balsamic vinegar and red potato fan, this potato salad is one of my favorites of all potato salads I've tasted. The images are hard to giveit justice.
And that is precisely why you have to try it! Go ahead, you can thank me later, preferably with a recipe that you create, with balsamic somewhere in the mix.

And it is the versatility that is genuinely care about what I love so much about balsamic vinegar. A small pinch will brighten up many a dish.
